TV is showing the documentary film "Being", the natural scenery is so beautiful in Africa, it also introduces the village Karo, the villagers mainly farm and get their own food. I think Karo is rare in the world for more places have been developed.
I remember the articles I read from Echo (三毛), her stories in Sahara. I wish one day I can make a similar trip to Africa. Somehow places there have been developing, but not so developed.
I like Echo's articles, for they are so real, and it seems that I were living in the place of her stories.
It is a good experience to live in different places, to eat and to live like the local people.
To learn the language and to familiar with the culture, it is different with sightseeing and shopping, we can see more by living ourselves in the community.
Going to Africa will be a good experience to learn how they make the living, to get closer of our beautiful nature, there is no more office work, no more poliitics, the life may be very simple, but still there are a lot of wisdom in it.
No more McDonald, no more Starbucks........farming, fishing and hunting are still their main activities. Money to them is another story. Their life is so simple and unique.
In certain areas of the continent, there are still a lot of uncultivated areas, people there can still enjoy their beautiful forests, lakes, mountains, rivers, no pollution, no factories, no cars, just like in paradise, and there are plenty of animals that we miss in our city life, in the natural world.
Their lives are simple but they have beautiful smiling in their faces.
