Per my father's request, went to Zhuhai today to visit his hometown.
Passed the boarder without spending much time, however, when we reached the other side, I saw lots of people in crowds, they were flooding to go to Macau (probably to the casinos).
Started to worry the return in the afternoon, however, it was still early, I should keep it until late afternoon, was thinking to use the other boarder to come back.
On the bus stop, overheard the talk and explained why the way from Macau to Zhuhai was so smooth, as the "水客" were on holiday for today.
That makes sense! They form a big population of the in-and out regular traffic every day.
While we were waiting for the bus No. 10, I started to learned such a terrible arrangement of the bus stop.
There are more than 8-10 different routes using the same bus-stop, where it is very long and large, however, all the people were packing there with no separation of the routes and queues, thus, whenever one bus comes, the people go for that bus will immediately chase for that bus and rush to the door to get in, it is really chaos!
No matter what, line up is useless, they 'may not know what is politeness nor what does it mean " respect to the seniors".
I can see the teenagers and the younger ones were the ones to get in the bus first and find the seats.
As a result, for the elders, I can tell - the only choice - the last one to get in the bus and to stand all the way!!
There are still many things China need to do for the next generation education and the public management!
In addition, the traffic was very busy all the time, may be many people are very rich, there were many private cars on the road.
Well, today is Sunday and the special public holiday, everyone goes out....... as a result, the way back was even worse, we waited for an hour, I saw many buses full of passengers, I have already lowered my requirement, all I needed was to get in any one of it provided we could go to the city area, however, we could not get in.
Chatted with an old lady, as I saw her waiting for a long time as same as we did, she told me she had been waiting in the bus-stop for over 2.5 hours and could not get in.
From her wordings, I can feel that the seniors are really not well-treated, why they could not be respected and treated nicely in using the public transportation.
I was thinking the Chinese saying - "Honour the aged of other family as we honour our own; Care for the children of other family as we care for our own"
I told her that since it is too far away to my destination, all I wanted was to get in the bus, go to the city area, so that I could get a taxi to Gongbei.
She taught me to change the bus in another place where it is less crowded, as I have observed that there was chance to get in for the other routes, other than the No. 10.
At the same time, the other ladies heard that I needed to change bus to Gongbei, and questioned while I didn't take No. 10 directly, why wasted money and time ?
I explained my strategy, and followed this, I did - I could get in a less crowded bus No. 32 back to Gongbei !
Really could not enjoy the ride today, it was totally another story like the previous' visit - sunny sky, green tress, blue sea, colourful flowers and plants, ....... With the cloudy sky, one positive thing was that the weather was not hot.
My conclusion for May 1 - it is not a good day for going out with public transportation in China.
