在對外貿易中,「詢盤」是買方或賣方對於所要購買或出售的商品,而向另一方作出的查詢。它可算是交易的起點,並可基本分為普通詢問(general
inquiries)或具體詢問(specific inquiries)兩種。
普通詢問包括:索取普通資料,例如目錄、價目表(price lists)或報價單(quotations)、樣版(samples)、圖片(illustrated photo prints)等。而具體查詢則包括:詳細查詢商品名稱(name of commodity)、規格(specifications)、數量(quantity)、單價(unit price)、運送時間(time of shipment)、付款方式(terms of payment)等。
一般而言,買方在查詢初期,通常只會要求賣方提供有關產品的一般性資料。經過評估及比較後,如果還感興趣時,便會提出進一步的查詢,而這進一步的查詢,一般都是指價格。
