International student advisor

Got news that Ed. F.  passed away.
He was our international students advisor and mentor in Berea.
Our college is in small town ,
with only 100 foreign students,
each year there were only around 25 new international students,
He really did a good job and helped us to survive, I sometimes dropped by his office, especially my first two years.

他十分健談，
長得不高，
矮矮的，
對亞洲及非洲學生都十分關心，
他的太太是泰國人，
所以亦令他更清楚異鄉人在美國的需要，
包括天氣，購物，學生生活的適應。

回望大學生活，
Ed是我進入Berea 的導師，
入學通知後的安排入境，
宿舍入住
其後的證件續期，
銀行户口存款不翼而飛，
回美的安排等,
我都由同房C鼓勵我與Ed.談談，
最终都可解決。

還記得最後一年L的被槍殺案，
全校都震驚,
各人都討論是否國際學生的生活是否沒足夠约關注，
在校園內看見他落漠的樣子，
因為好像他未能阻止悲劇發生。
其實，
正如J與我分析，
是很多因素構成的，
亦不是外人可理解的。
