My colleague N is going to leave Macau, thus, we had a fair-well dinner with him on Wednesday night, we tried to get a better place to eat, and finally, we chose to eat in Grand Buffet of new Hotel Lisboa.
We chose the time from 8:30-10:30 (there is one in earlier time). To be honest, I didn't like to have such a time limit of enjoying the buffet (meal), but this is the rule, so after taking the seat, we tried to make good use of the time to get our favorite good.
There were plenty of food, but comparing with my previous eating, it seemed to me the varieties were not as much as last time, and not to say the number of people.
As the restaurant is large, they only opened the main area, while the other area were not opened.
As usual, I started to eat the Salmon, Tuna, oysters, crabs.... beef, vegetables...... suddenly, I realised that there were plenty of food in front, but I could eat only very small portion.
I think I was starting to refresh my knowledge of the wants and needs theory.
The other days, when I was in the department store, they had promotional sales for the nice Japanese bowls, I was thinking to buy some, as they were really pretty. However, when I asked myself, " do I need them?" I can't find any reason to keep them but why I would like to take them home?
I like to eat buffet as I give myself sufficient reason on having plenty of choices, but as I am getting older, I think once I know my own favorites, I don't need to pay extra money to get a look of the food I don't need - may be I need to go back to the a la carte.
