In Berea, besides the physical education, we also needed to take several art classes during the 4 years.
I was attracted by the name of the course and I had also checked with the others the comments of the professors. I got good comments of this one.
After I attended the course, I found out the course was very interesting and I liked it very much.
There were two professors in this course - Dr. N was an Indian American - he was an artist - he painted. Another professor was a musician - he played piano.
In this semester, we learned different kinds of art works and the music of the 20 century.
Though it was not our major, every student was required to study for this subject, we had a beautiful TA too - we liked her very much - basically, for the small things, the TA helped us out.
The class was in the afternoon, after lunch, it was easily to fall sleeping.
However the professor made the class very tight - we had quiz, we drew, we made portrait, we did printed work, we wrote poems, we listened all kinds of 20 century music and watched slides of great art works - we needed to memorise the names for our quizzes and exams, we also needed to do research paper.
The professors made us busy for this course, but looking back, we also learned a lot.
In real life, when the others talking about Van Gohn, jazz, blues....., we may not say that I never learn this before - it is knowledge, not study!!!
