Meeting

Late afternoon, went to a meeting, which I think it was not a productive one.

The meeting was about organising visiting activity to a children home, by a group of young volunteers. It is supported by a well-established charity organisation.

Last time, we had 2 hours for the meeting, and I commented that we should focus on the discussion items rather than talking this and that.

This time, it is improving, but the organiser (the lead persons didn't get enough information, thus, there are uncertainties for discussion).

Thanks today is Saturday, meeting started from 6-7:30, and there are still outstanding discussion item, thus another meeting will be held on the other Wednesday 7 PM before the visit.

For me, it is really simple and little activity, but a lot of time is wasted.

They have previous experiences, why not take the review of similar activities, and improve that, it can save a lot of time.

It is really out of my expectation, I could not afford to pay the time for their meetings.

I miss the outing of "People Who Care".

The management and organisation were very good, all the participates needed not to pay so much time on the unnecessary meeting. the office arranged this for us - one thing is important, people who need care, we also want to care them, so just be prepared and go directly for the visits, talk with the people, share with them, and care of them.

The people in the children centers and the elderly homes will be happy!!
