申京淑的出版商說，這是韓國小說首度登上紐時暢銷書榜單。
48歲的申京淑是南韓知名小說家，但「請照顧我媽媽」是她首本翻譯成英文版的小說。她現希望為其他韓文小說家打開國際化趨勢。
