Yesterday worked until 7 and didn't want to go up to the wet-market, therefore stopped by the grocery store to buy few tomatoes.
This store is near by the wet-market, I don't usually and don't like very much to buy over there, because it doesn't put the price tag next to the vegetables, it seems that the prices are up to her.
I bought only two small ones this time and the owner charged me three dollars.
I was thinking why they were so expensive, because it usually costs 6 patacas one catty or 4.5 patacas one pound.
When I was home, I weighted it over the scale, it was less than 5 ounce,so,that meant the tomatoes cost about 9 patacas for one catty.
What a dishonest shop owner!! I worked late but it didn't mean that she could charge me with different prices.
Lesson learned, I would not buy any more in the store again !
