她也希望孩子能夠接受好的教育。接受教育,除了可以用get,還可以用receive,指被動地「收到」或「接到」,accept和receive的差別,receive「收到」,而accept是「接受」。請參考以下這個例句:
(X)She also hopes her children will accept a good education.
(O)She also hopes her children will get a good education.
She received his present, but she didn’t accept it.
她收到了他的禮物,但是沒有接受。
他接受做這件事。Accept這個動詞,後面如果要加一個動作,同意做什麼事,一定要用動名詞形式:accept doing。類似後面只能加動名詞的動詞、但大家常常搞混的還有「consider+V-ing」。
(X)He accepted to do it.
(O)He accepted doing it
例句:I've got so much work on at the moment that it's difficult to stay on top of it all.(目前我有太多的工作要做,所以很難全部掌握。)
例句:Sam's great – he's really on the ball and never makes any mistakes.(山姆非常棒,他很機靈,而且從不犯錯誤。)
