別後不知君遠近，觸目淒涼多少悶。

漸行漸遠漸無書，水闊魚沉何處問。

夜深風竹敲秋韻，萬葉千聲皆是恨。

故欹單枕夢中尋，夢又不成燈又燼。

白話淺釋

自從分開，便不知你身在何方，

眼前所見一切都滿是淒涼鬱悶。

你越走越遠，漸漸斷了書信；

江河遼闊、魚雁無蹤，

我該向誰打探你的消息？

深夜秋風吹動竹林，簌簌作響；

每一葉、每一聲，都訴說離別愁恨。

我斜靠孤枕，想在夢中和你相見，

可始終難入夢，燈火也燃成了灰燼。

黃昏時分我從醉中醒來，才發覺你早已遠走；滿天風雨淒迷，我獨自走下送別的西樓。
