故人西辭黃鶴樓，

煙花三月下揚州。

孤帆遠影碧空盡，

唯見長江天際流。

舊友揮別西邊的黃鶴樓，於繁花如霧的三月順江東去揚州。

一片孤帆的影子，漸漸消融在蔚藍遠空；望到最後，只見浩浩長江，向天的盡頭緩緩奔流。

不寫淚水，只用遼闊江景寄託離思，意境清曠高遠，係送別詩裡最美的名篇之一。

sailing down to Yangzhou amid mist‑blooms of the third month’s quest.

The lonely sail’s faint shape melts into the vast blue sky;

only the long Yangzi flows onward to where the heavens lie.
