thanks God!

Song - "The Journey"

Time waits for no one, sure as the tide pulls the ocean
Sure as, the path that's been chosen, cannot be changed
In my life's destination, I searched for the explanation
For some kind of reason, for my sorrow and pain
But in my isolation I learned to listen
To be thankful for the love that I'd been given

[Chorus:]
This is my journey, journey through life
With every twist and turn I've laughed and cried
As the road unwinds
This is my journey, and I've learned to fight
To make me strong enough, to lift me up, to bring my dreams alive

In my desperation I swore that never again
Would I hear all the laughter of my friends and my family
A million tears that I'd cried then began to dry
In the silence of the night time
I had came to realize
A sweet inspiration filled my horizon
Gave me the heart to go on and never would give in

[Chorus:]
This is my journey, journey through life
With every twist and turn I've laughed and cried
As the road unwinds
This is my journey, and I've learned to fight
To make me strong enough, to lift me up, to bring my dreams alive

I'm going to love each moment, of every day and night
I'll look back to the past with the sweetest smile
For now I realise, I've been given the key to life
I've been kissed by the angel by my side

[Chorus:]
This is my journey, journey through life
With every twist and turn I've laughed and cried
As the road unwinds
This is my journey, and I've learned to fight
To make me strong enough, to lift me up, to bring my dreams alive
To bring my dreams alive
To bring my dreams alive

Beautiful Pitayas and Lemons

I was looking hardly for the pitayas these two days,
and can't find them in several fruit stores,
as the weather was too cold,
and the timing was too late,
in this evening,
when I was really exhausted on locating them in the market,
unexpectedly I found them in a place that is next to me,
beautiful of them,
thanks so much!!

Sam Berns

Sampson Gordon "Sam" Berns was an American who suffered from progeria and helped raise awareness about the disease.

A student at Foxborough High School -- in his and the Patriots' hometown -- he joined the marching band, playing a specially designed snare drum. He didn't let the fact that he weighed all of 50 pounds or that the average life span of someone with progeria is 13 years discourage him. He attended his school's homecoming dance. And above all, he kept his head up.

"Even though I have many obstacles in my life, I don't want people to feel bad for me," Berns said in that TedX talk.

Progeria affects approximately one in every 4 million to 8 million infants; there are only about 200 children living with it worldwide. The genetic mutation tied to it causes those with the disease to produce the protein progerin, which blocks normal cell function.

As they age rapidly, these children suffer from a loss of body fat and hair and an inability to gain weight.
They are prone to developing osteoporosis, a disease where bones become weak and are more likely to break.

"All in all, I don't waste energy feeling bad for myself," Berns said. "I surround myself with people that I want to be with. And I keep moving forward."

That attitude influenced many, regular folks and celebrities. Those tweeting their condolences included Katie Couric, ESPN columnist Rick Reilly and many Boston-area athletes.

"The warrior, Sam Berns passed away today," tweeted the Boston Bruins' Brad Marchand. "He was an inspiration to everyone. You will be missed greatly.

Anna Wintour

http://www.vogue.com.tw/feature/celebritynews/content-20075.html

Anna Wintour

 http://oldtatmag.com/2015/03/05/anna-wintours-talk-at-the-oxfor-union/

It’s not often we get an insight into the thoughts of Anna Wintour. Last night she gave a talk at the Oxford Union, roughly 600 members and guests queued in the freezing cold to get an inside look into the world of being a ‘Vogue’ Fashion Editor.

Talking freely, Anna came across as personable and humble as she spoke about coming from a family of academics, many having studied at Oxford or Cambridge, and the importance of education in shaping their future. Anna spoke about how she herself made the decision to leave school at the age of sixteen and go straight out to work. Knowing how to do everything is a must in the fashion world; she perfected her skills from writing to styling, editing, the whole package! In a world full of creatives it is important to be “self-sufficient” to be the master of all trades like a “one woman show”.

Anna stated, “England is still the best training grounds for the arts”. She spoke about being in the right places, learning from the best people and working with the most creative teams. She recognised the wealth of talent here in England, from the small teams working on print magazines (a woman after Old Tat’s own heart) often for their passion rather than a pay check. Anna acknowledged that it is important to take a quiet but steady route to the top. She advised, “seek to be relevant, agile and educated.”

Anna talked about her inspirations for supporting young fashion designers and how important this is alongside the work she does with various charities. “I’d like to see more woman designers,” she stated. Having heard from her colleagues that LFW had many fantastic female designers showcasing this year she appeared hopeful that there would be a shift in the industry and more female designers would be in the spotlight. Touching on style, taste and having conviction in your opinions, Anna noted that, “people always look for your point of view so it is important to trust and cultivate your taste” and believe in your own opinions.
The talk ended on a high and completely inspired me. Anna spoke about her family members that do so much; they write, run their own t-shirt company on ‘e-bay’, do charity work and fit so much into their life. Anna’s family influence became clear, “the more you do the more you can do” explaining that we should all find time to add something to our life, something deeply fulfilling that helps to grow you as a person. The talk opened up to questions and one in particular stuck in my mind. “What do you do or how do you take that time to sit, think and be creative?” Anna mentioned although she was not a great example of this that it is “important to ‘get outside yourself’ and to find the time to collect your thoughts, be that when traveling or in your own space.”

“When you live with intention you create the space to live in.” All of us in the creative world follow our dreams and our inspirations and this reminds me that we are all the keepers of our own destiny and we should seek to create those opportunities to do what we love. It’s those things that keep us going, keep us energised, keep us learning.

7 Daily Habits That Can Make You More Successful at Work

By Robin Madell

There's your job, and then there's how you go about doing your job. While your position itself (and how well it fits with your expertise and passion) certainly plays a role in your career success, your routines and rituals in the office can also affect your happiness and productivity. This includes what you do before and after work, as well as during your workdays.
Here are seven daily habits that, if practiced regularly, can boost your success at work:
1. Focus on strengths, not weaknesses. Sometimes, in an effort to be perfect, we channel valuable time and energy into trying to get good at things that aren't part of our natural aptitude. Charlotte Crivelli, co-founder of Klick Communications, believes this is a mistake. "At my company, we instill a culture that people should work on tasks that use their core strengths," she says. "We don't believe in wasting people's time getting them to improve their weaknesses. Someone else will be strong where they are weak, and it's my job to ensure everyone is working on what energizes them and not what depletes them." To take this advice to heart, make a habit of prioritizing as many of your truest skill sets as possible on a daily basis.
2. Work how you work best. On a related note, not everyone works equally well in identical settings. While you may not have an option to work behind closed doors if your company favors an open floor plan, there are work habits you can develop to play to your strengths and improve your focus. A recent survey by office furniture company Turnstone found that 32 percent of 18- to 34-year-olds prefer working individually in a lounge setting over a traditional work environment.
If your company doesn't provide your ideal space, think about simple changes you can make to your daily work environment. "Not everyone works the same way, so don't feel restricted by the space that you're in," says Brian Shapland, general manager at Turnstone. "If you need to do head-down work, use headphones, or find a secluded area in the office to set up shop. If you need to be inspired, seek out a collaborative space so you can bounce ideas off of co-workers."
3. Control your attitude. The mood you bring to work can affect not only your own morale and work performance, but also that of those around you. Therefore, another healthy habit to practice daily is taking control of your mental attitude. "An old saying goes: 'The city of happiness is in the state of mind,'" says Karla Brandau, CEO of Workplace Power Institute. "To enjoy more satisfaction at work, it is important to regularly check your viewpoint, because negativity can dominate your life, which depresses not only your mind, spirit and body but your productivity level."
An additional strategy for attitude adjustment is to practice being where you are at work rather than thinking about outside relationships and personal challenges. "If you are physically at work and are focusing on other life issues, then you aren't mentally at work," says Mike Rodriguez, professional speaker, training expert and author. "This means you cannot perform in an effective manner."
4. Make better eating choices. How you fuel your body before, during and even after work can have significant repercussions on your ability to perform at your best.
Kristen Smith, a registered dietitian based in Atlanta, recommends that employees start by establishing a meal schedule and planning meals that will be eaten at work. "You may need to pack a meal or snack to ensure you do not go a substantial time without eating," she says.
Here's what else she recommends for optimal workplace nutrition: eating a meal within one hour of waking and continuing eating snacks or meals every three to four hours thereafter; including a low-calorie, protein-rich food in your first meal of the day, such as eggs or Greek yogurt; staying hydrated by drinking at least four to six cups of non-sugary beverages at work; and avoiding caffeine several hours prior to the end of your workday to allow for adequate sleep when you leave the office.
5. Do one good deed. While taking care of your own physical and mental needs at work, keep in mind that a habit of doing something nice for a colleague can make you feel even better. Studies have shown that a little altruism goes a long way. A 2012 study by Wall Street Journal (Europe) and iOpener Institute for People and Performance revealed that happier workers help their colleagues 33 percent more than their least happy colleagues.
"We've all experienced the boost that happens when we lend a helping hand to someone else, and this pay-it-forward principle holds true in the workplace," says Melody Wilding, licensed therapist and workplace psychology expert. "Whether it's taking on some simple tasks for an overwhelmed colleague or grabbing an extra coffee to give away in the morning, giving back to your team is a surefire happiness hack."
6. Don't dwell. Your after-work habits help set the tone for your next day in the office, so it's important to get them right. When you have a bad day at work, you may find yourself replaying the events of the day over and over in your mind on your commute home.
Paula Thompson, founder of Foresight Coaching & Consulting, points out that mentally imagining conversations that did not go well activates the same biochemical and hormonal processes in your body as when the event originally occurred. "You are literally physically recreating the event in your body, keeping your stress hormones high," she says. "If you find yourself dwelling, allow yourself 10 minutes to purposefully replay the event in your mind, identify what you can learn from the experience, and then close the flashback and move on."
7. Establish an evening reflection ritual. A related habit that can help you kick the tendency to dwell on what didn't go well is to establish an evening reflection ritual.
Before you pack up to leave the office each evening, Wilding recommends taking the time to review three things that went well during the day or that you feel grateful about. "This little ritual – no matter how tough the day was – can become something to look forward to and help you end each day on a positive note," Wilding says. "Even better, this steers your brain toward habitual, positive, growth-oriented thinking. As you work to identify three things you're grateful for – don't cheat and settle for two! – you're training your brain to see opportunity in challenging circumstances, rather than allowing it to get stuck in a pattern of negativity."

Here's what people eat for breakfast around the world

From : http://www.businessinsider.com/breakfast-foods-from-around-the-world-2015-5

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, keeping us healthy and sharp.

But breakfast foods vary wildly from place to place.

Inspired by a HostelBookers.com post by Victoria Philpott and a Quora post,  we took a look at some classic breakfast choices from countries around the world.

Whether it's bread and cold cuts in Germany or baked cheese pancakes in Russia, each country does their first meal of the day a little differently.

An earlier version of this post was written by Max Rosenberg.

AUSTRALIA: The typical breakfast consists of cold cereal and toast with vegemite.

BRAZIL: Expect to find ham, cheeses, and bread, served with coffee and milk.

CHINA: Traditional breakfasts vary based on the region, but dim sum, small plates of food prepared in a variety of ways, is popular.

SWITZERLAND: The Swiss like to start their day with Birchermüesli: raw oats and grains topped with dried and / or fresh fruit and served in milk or yogurt.

PAKISTAN: Pakistanis enjoy heartier meaty breakfasts, like Nihari, a stew made with beef sirloin and / or shank pieces.

COLOMBIA: A traditional breakfast in Bogota is changua, a milk, scallion, and egg soup.

INDONESIA: Nasi goreng is commonly eaten in Indonesia for breakfast. The meals consists of a fried egg and fried rice, and sometimes meat or seafood as well.

GERMANY: A typical breakfast is made up of cold meats, including sausages, local cheeses, and fresh baked bread.

CUBA: The typical breakfast is cafe con leche — coffee with milk — served with a tostada, which is sliced bread that is buttered and grilled. The bread is used to dunk into the coffee.

ISRAEL: A popular Israeli breakfast dish is shakshuka: eggs cooked in a spicy tomato sauce served with pita on the side for dipping.

ENGLAND: The typical breakfast includes eggs, sausage, bacon, beans, and mushrooms.

FRANCE: A traditional breakfast includes croissants, or other sweet pastries such as pain au chocolat, and coffee.

THE PHILIPPINES: Pandesal — a bread roll made of flour, eggs, yeast, sugar, and salt — is a common breakfast food in the Philippines. The rolls are often dipped in coffee with milk.

POLAND: Similar to a German breakfast, a traditional breakfast in Poland consists of bread rolls served with an array of savory and sweet toppings such as meat, sausage, cheese, butter, jam, and chocolate spread.

INDIA: Idli wada is a traditional breakfast in the southern part of the country. Idli is a cake made with fermented black lentils and rice, and served with chutney and sambar.

ITALY: Many Italians begin their day with a cappuccino and hard roll or biscotti.

JAPAN: Traditional breakfast includes miso soup, steamed white rice, and Japanese pickles.

MOROCCO: Breakfast usually consists of breads with jam, and cheese or butter.

SCOTLAND: Simple but hearty, a good Scottish breakfast is often a bowl of porridge.

NIGERIA: With a variety of ethnic groups in the country, there are many traditional breakfast items. One of them is moi moi, a ground bean paste that is wrapped in leaves and steamed.

KOREA: Comparable to a rolled up omelette, Korean egg rolls can be made a variety of ways: sometimes with vegetables and sometimes with meat.

PORTUGAL: A standard breakfast includes stuffed croissants or bread with jam or cheese, eaten with coffee.

RUSSIA: Traditional breakfast is sirniki, or baked farmers cheese pancakes, and hot oatmeal. Rye bread is another staple.
