Song - Du bist schön

You are beautiful
Artist: LaFee
Song: Du bist schön

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDzIl-Bm1bw&feature=related

Warum
Es ist dein Spiegelbild das lügt
Es schreit dich an damit du dich selbst betrügst
Du bist krank ja du bringst dich langsam um
Du hasst dich immer mehr - Warum

Du bist schön willst schöner seïn…

English
You are beautiful

You hide it from me already for so long
I feel sorry for you, what do you do to yourself
You think I don't see it, but you are ill
You don't only make diets, you puke yourself slim

Beautiful eyes
Don't shine anymore
Beautiful eyes
Are sad and empty

You are beautiful, want to be more beautiful
You are thing, want to be thinner
You lie yourself into the face
You are so beautiful and hate yourself

You are beautiful, want to be more beautiful
You'll starve yourself to death
Again and again with force
You put your finger into your throat

The way you walk leads to nowhere
I see a bag of bones, I am not blind at all
You stand at the precipice, you don't even realize it
You are not beautiful anymore when you break down

Beautiful eyes
Don't shine anymore
Beautiful eyes
Are sad and empty

You are beautiful, want to be more beautiful

Why
It is your reflection which lies
It screams at you so that you betray yourself
You are ill, yes, you slowly kill yourself
You hate yourself more and more - Why

She konnte an meinem Gesicht ablesen

English
You’re beautiful
My life is brilliant.

My life is brilliant.
My love is pure.
I saw an angel.
Of that I'm sure.
She smiled at me on the subway.
She was with another man.
But I won't lose no sleep on that,
'Cause I've got a plan.

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
I saw your face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cause I'll never be with you.

Yeah, she caught my eye,
As we walked on by.
She could see from my face that I was,
Flying high
And I don't think that I'll see her again,
But we shared a moment that will last till the end.

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
I saw your face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cause I'll never be with you.

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
There must be an angel with a smile on her face,
When she thought up that I should be with you.
But it's time to face the truth,
I will never be with you.

Umbrella

It has been raining for few days.

Whenever I walk on the street, I start to pay attention on people's umbrellas.

It is a really a beautiful picture, as there are so many varieties of the umbrellas on the streets, they add colors to our life in the rainy day.

Most of the time, they are no long in black colors, there are a lot of patterns/designs in the umbrellas, and there are lots of combination of colors, sometimes they are very unique too.

One more thing, umbrella is really a good tool for advertising.

Imagine the fact - last weekend in HK, I could see some people in HK used the Macau casinos' gift umbrellas, it is really a good and budget advertising tool - for the casinos, the benefit is for sure greater than the cost !!

http://hk.news.yahoo.com/article/100628/4/iwcn.html

In and out

Yesterday, our HR colleague took 4 new colleagues to visit different departments of our building.

For the past few months, several experience (professional?) colleagues from different departments have left, but it took time to recruit new people.

Whenever new staff come in, I can see more young and energetic people.

it is good, because they form the new look of our big and old organisation, however, it takes time to train them to familiar with the work.

Working in a big organisation is not easy, it needs time to adjust, but as time passes, everything is so natural, and each person becomes part of the machine - sometimes most of us plan to stay until we retire :(

After the introduction, I immediately forgot their names already, I am pretty sure they did so.

It doesn't matter, we will know each other later, just a matter of time!

Recently I have a deep thought of this quote.

My umbrella

Another rainy day.

I started to use a new light blue umbrella today, it is a gift from my friend, the umbrella is very cute, with lots of tiny pigs on it. We bought it in China few months ago.

I was thinking I would not use it because my green umbrella was still in good condition, but I like the colorful pictures on the umbrella very much, that 's why I keep it in my closet.

However, it turned out that last Saturday, I lost one of the tiny pins on the green umbrella, and it was not good looking for using it again.

It was really a pity, the whole umbrella is still in good condition, except the tiny pin at the end lost.

I don't want to throw it away, and I really want to find a way to repair it and make it as a back-up umbrella.

I don't want to create rubbish, as the umbrella still has its value on it.

原來,實驗不只是冷冰冰的儀器與數字,留學不是孤軍奮戰;

恆溫三十七度、二氧化碳濃度百分之五;

Cities Where the Dollar is Weakest

Good informative article, I always like to know that kind of information!!!

Tokyo, Japan's busy center of government, culture, and the economy, has been an expensive place to live for decades. Going to a movie theater costs about $22 per ticket, and renting a two-bedroom apartment easily costs $5,000 per month. Even travelers pay about $50 per night to sleep in capsule hotels, where guests stay in a "room" measuring about 2 meters (6 ft., 7 in.) deep, 1 meter wide, and 1 meter tall. As the yen has strengthened against the dollar, from 110 yen in August 2008 to about 90 yen to the U.S. dollar this month, the cost of living for foreign nationals paid in U.S. dollars has become tangibly more expensive in Tokyo.

In a new ranking by global human resource company ECA International, Japan's capital rose to become the most expensive city in the world for American travelers for the first time since 2005. The city's return this year was due largely to currency appreciation. Tokyo was followed by Oslo, Norway, and Angola's capital, Luanda. Exchange rates were also responsible for the rise in the cost of living in Seoul and Sydney, which climbed to 20th and 30th place, respectively, from ranks below 100 last year. Meanwhile, Manhattan, N.Y., the most expensive place in the U.S., fell 10 spots, to 29th place, as the U.S. dollar weakened.

"One of the major reasons for the volatility from the 2009 to the 2010 [ranking] was currency volatility over the past 12 months," says Lee Quane, regional director of Asia for ECA International. "We did see [some prices] increase, but it was pretty much benign."

Don't Forget the Beer
ECA International, which is based in London, surveyed 399 locations in September 2009 and March 2010 based on a basket of 128 goods, including groceries, transport, dining out, clothing, electronics, and such miscellaneous services as haircuts. Expenses such as rent, utilities, and school fees that are not typically included in a cost-of-living allowance were not counted. The survey focused on internationally recognizable brands—such as Kellogg's (K) cereal or Sapporo (SOOBF:OTC) beer—commonly purchased by expatriates.

While less-expensive options, such as local alternatives, are available, companies typically base the cost-of-living allowance on the amount needed to support a lifestyle similar to what a person had in the home country. Companies do not want employees to feel they are taking a loss to work overseas, says E. James (Jim) Brennan, senior associate at ERI Economic Research Institute in Redmond, Wash. "Accessing a certain product that is normally not found in that economy can be very expensive," he says. Other times, "the difficulty is not what the costs are, but what goods and services are available."

Also, depending on the situation, cheap alternatives are not always advisable. For example, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention says illnesses such as typhoid fever can spread through contaminated water and food, so the center encourages travelers to avoid food from street vendors.

Depending on One's Lifestyle
How much one spends, of course, is often as much a choice as as a necessity. Ohio native Michael King, president of virtual computing company Citrix Systems' (CTXS) Japan operations, has worked overseas for the past 15 years and has been at his most recent assignment in Tokyo since January 2009. "Japan is always expensive," he says. "If you're paid in local currency, then it's less of a problem."

King says he pays about $15 for a U.S. magazine and $50 for a DVD. While leisure is certainly not cheap, food constitutes a large portion of his expenses. For convenience, King shops at expatriate grocery stores, where goods sell at a premium, and it is not uncommon for him to pay $50 for a steak.

According to ECA International, the average price of 1 kilogram of rice in Tokyo is $8.47, and one dozen eggs cost $3.78. Dining in Western and Japanese restaurants is no cheaper—according to restaurant surveyor Zagat, dinner with a glass of wine plus tip in Tokyo costs $94, on average.

Seasonal Delicacies
"You can find reasonable things, but the quality expectation for food here is very high," King says. In addition to the careful preparation involved in much of Japanese cuisine, he says many people are willing to pay more when certain foods are in season—for example, peaches from Yamanashi in the summer.

Of course, Tokyo is not categorically expensive. The city is packed with noodle shops and yakitori stands offering grilled chicken on skewers. Midrange retailers such as Uniqlo and H&M (HNNMY:OTC) have become popular. The same is true in other cities: In New York, for example, hot dogs, pizza slices, and sandwiches are among the cheap eats in a city where Zagat estimates the average dinner with wine and tip costs $42.

Assignees can live on less, but when companies send talent overseas, "they don't want it to be a negative experience for anyone," says ERI's Brennan.

Scaling Down Benefits
Sending employees overseas (often along with their families) is a significant investment for any company, especially because compensation and benefit packages must cover employees' overseas expenses as well as such obligations as mortgage payments at home. Costly as cities such as Tokyo are, they often serve as regional commerce centers and remain critical to multinational companies; the need to move staff overseas remains fundamental.

Even in today's business environment, ECA International's Quane says, employers need to make compensation attractive enough for employees to take assignments, not move to competitors, while the employer can still make a return on investment. Many employers have recently tried to trim benefit packages while ensuring that the employee's core compensation remains attractive, he says.

Until about five years ago, overseas assignments were viewed by many as cash cows—an opportunity to enjoy a good standard of living overseas while saving some money. Today, "companies are striking the right balance," says Quane. Housing allowances and paid trips home, for example, have been scaled down, he says. Assignees who may have received an allowance for a two- or three-bedroom apartment may now receive an allowance for a smaller rental. Some packages are being localized to line up with local standards. In locations that have become unprofitable, some employees have been sent home.

"Talent is never in excess," says Brennan. "Anyone who is proficient and versatile and valued enough to go international is a valuable product." While paying for $90 meals and $50 DVDs may be expensive while the dollar is weak and business is soft, Brennan says in the long term, the right person can be the solution to turning things around.

New York ranks only No. 29

If you think $43 is too much to pay for lunch, you shouldn't live in Oslo. According to "ECA International", a global human resources company, that's how much an average lunch costs in Norway's capital. But Oslo is only the second-most expensive city on ECA's ranking of 399 global locations. And while the price of an average lunch in Tokyo is a comparatively modest $17.86, other costs, such as a $22 movie ticket and an $8.47 kilo of rice, earn it the dubious honor as the world's most expensive city.

ECA's ranking is based on a basket of 128 goods that includes food, daily goods, clothing, electronics, and entertainment, but not rent, utilities, and school fees, which are not typically included in a cost-of-living adjustment. ECA researchers and local partners gathered prices in September 2009 and March 2010 for domestic and imported brands that are internationally recognized—such as Kellogg's cereal or Sapporo beer. While lower-priced goods and services are available in these markets, the study estimated the cost of supporting the standard of living expected by expatriate employees, says Lee Quane, ECA's regional director for Asia. Some of the cities, such as Seoul and Stockholm, jumped up in the ranking as the local currency strengthened against the U.S. dollar. Quane says that while a slowdown in business may tempt employers to scale back compensation, "recessions only last so long" and retaining top talent in these places is critical to companies' success when the global economy recovers.

1. Tokyo, Japan

Rank in 2009: 2

Food: Lunch at a restaurant: $18
Can of beer from grocer: $3.37
One kg of rice: $8.47
One dozen eggs: $3.78

Entertainment: Movie ticket: $22

Appliances: Washing machine: $879

The strength of the yen has brought Tokyo back to the No. 1 spot on ECA International's ranking for the first time since 2005. In addition to the costs above, rent for a two-bedroom apartment for expats is typically more than $5,000 per month in Tokyo, according to data from EuroCost International. While visitors need more pocket money here than in any other city, the monthly consumer price index in Tokyo's wards has actually dropped year-on-year for 14 straight months as of May 2010, based on figures from Japan's statistics bureau.

2. Oslo, Norway

Rank in 2009: 8

Food: Lunch at a restaurant: $43
Can of beer from grocer: $4.71
One kg of rice: $5.66
One dozen eggs: $6.72

Entertainment: Movie ticket: $16

Appliances: Washing machine: $880

Oslo rose above Copenhagen as the most expensive city in Europe when the kroner strengthened against other currencies. ECA International says an upward trend in oil prices, a short recession, and Norway's reputation as a safe haven for investors contributed to the kroner's rise.

3. Luanda, Angola

Rank in 2009: 1

Food: Lunch at a restaurant: $47
Can of beer from grocer: $1.62
One kg of rice: $4.73
One dozen eggs: $4.75

Entertainment: Movie ticket: $13

Appliances: Washing machine: $912

Angola's capital slipped to third place this year as the kwanza depreciated. Prices in Luanda have actually increased in the past year, but currency changes offset any inflation, according to ECA International. In addition to everyday goods, EuroCost International estimates that the average expat pays more than $3,500 per month for a two-bedroom flat in Luanda.

4. Nagoya, Japan

Rank in 2009: 3

Food: Lunch at a restaurant: $19
Can of beer from grocer: $3.08
One kg of rice: $9.14
One dozen eggs: $3.33

Entertainment: Movie ticket: $20

Appliances: Washing machine: $621

Japan's fourth most populous city, Nagoya is also among the country's most expensive. The city ranks No. 1 for the cost of rice: $9.14 per kilogram, according to ECA International data. As Japan's auto hub, the Nagoya area is an important center of business: about 44 percent of automobiles produced in Japan are made here, according to the Greater Nagoya Initiative Center. Such companies as Toyota, Honda, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Volkswagen, and General Motors have headquarters, manufacturing operations, or distribution points in the Nagoya region.

5. Yokohama, Japan

Rank in 2009: 4

Food: Lunch at a restaurant: $17.39
Can of beer from grocer: $3.26
One kg of rice: $6.54
One dozen eggs: $3.72

Entertainment: Movie ticket: $19.50

Appliances: Washing machine: $630

About half an hour by commuter train from Tokyo, this port city has active shipping, biotechnology, and semiconductor industries. Yokohama is one of the world's most expensive cities, but companies here enjoy lower operating costs compared with the nearby capital. Nissan opened a new headquarters in Yokohama this year and reportedly will sell its office in Tokyo to cut costs.

6. Stavanger, Norway

Rank in 2009: 14

Food: Lunch at a restaurant: $33
Can of beer from grocer: $4.76
One kg of rice: $5.71
One dozen eggs: $6.34

Entertainment: Movie ticket: $15.50

Appliances: Washing machine: $749

This small seaside city earned its riches from oil in the North Sea and has become known as Norway's petroleum capital. Stavangerexpats.com says food expenses in Norway are about 50 percent higher than the EU average: A can of soda is about $2.80, and a beer at a bar can be $12.

7. Kobe, Japan

Rank in 2009: 6

Food: Lunch at a restaurant: $16
Can of beer from grocer: $3.09
One kg of rice: $8.57
One dozen eggs: $2.81

Entertainment: Movie ticket: $20

Appliances: Washing machine: $470

The city has one of Japan's largest ports and has become home to many heavy machinery, iron and steel, and food product companies. According to the Japan External Trade Organization, 117 foreign and foreign-affiliated companies have offices in Kobe. As the price of Kobe beef, the style of high-grade meat named after the city, suggests, food is costly here, as are other living expenses.

8. Copenhagen, Denmark

Rank in 2009: 7

Food: Lunch at a restaurant: $36
Can of beer from grocer: $2.10
One kg of rice: $4.85
One dozen eggs: $6.99

Entertainment: Movie ticket: $15

Appliances: Washing machine: $1,196

A 2009 "survey" of 73 international cities by UBS found that employees in Copenhagen have the highest income. Places with higher salaries often have higher prices, but residents here enjoy good living standards overall. Some examples of the cost of living: Renting a DVD costs about $8 per night, a pair of women's jeans is more than $150, and a one-way ticket on public transport costs about $3.70.

9. Geneva, Switzerland

Rank in 2009: 9

Food: Lunch at a restaurant: $30
Can of beer from grocer: $2.02
One kg of rice: $3.81
One dozen eggs: $7.64

Entertainment: Movie ticket: $16

Appliances: Washing machine: $1,304

Geneva, home to many companies and U.N. organizations, is one of the most expensive cities for food and household appliances. Food prices in Switzerland are 45 percent more expensive than in the rest of Western Europe, and the cost of electronics and appliances in Geneva is among the highest worldwide, according to a 2009 UBS report.

10. Zurich, Switzerland

Rank in 2009: 10

Food: Lunch at a restaurant: $25
Can of beer from grocer: $2.01
One kg of rice: $3.36
One dozen eggs: $5.81

Entertainment: Movie ticket: $16

Appliances: Washing machine: $974

Zurich, Switzerland's largest city, is the country's main business center and the headquarters city for many financial companies, including UBS and Credit Suisse. Although Zurich had the greatest number of company bankruptcies in Switzerland last year, according to Dun & Bradstreet, the inflation rate started to increase again this year after falling in 2009.

2010.6.26 Saturday

What a rainy day!

As I have promised my father to take him to HK to see his brother several weeks ago, even though the weather was not good today, he insisted and asked me to keep the promise, therefore, we followed the plan to take the ferry to HK at 10:45

Arrived Pou Lam MTR at around 1PM, had tea in the Chinese Restaurant, 3 old people were happy on chatting and getting the updated news.

Then, on the way back to HK side, we stopped by Taikoo Sing, browsing around the stores - Wing On....... and tea at FoodRepublic.

Got the Ferry back to Macau at 7:30.......

Finished the half day trip of the short visit, though the tickets were expensive - Father was happy to see old friends, the time was precious for them.

Wise saying from Uncle W -

Uncle W insists to keep on walking and exercising, though his feet are painful. He said that the engine needs to function.

Story of "one half orange" from Aunt -

She told me the early life of her children were not easy - Uncle W was the only one to go out to work for the family, with 5 children at home, she needed to spend money wisely and carefully, therefore the kids were taught to share oranges among themselves, that means each time each child got only one half of the oranges, the kids were very obedient and this custom was kept until they were 20.

By the time came back to Macau, the TV in the ferry showed that the African children are under nutrient, eggs are the only expensive food for them and they can only afford this once a month.

For myself, it reminds me that we should appreciate what we have in our life.

Mykonos

In August 1997, I joined a HK travel agency for my first leisure trip to Europe for two weeks. We visited several countries, including Turkey, Egypt, Greece, Dubai...

I appreciated the scenery of the beautiful islands of Greece, and I like Mykonos very much, I really had the feeling of "love in first sight" - beautiful sky, sea, and the lovely white houses. I also liked the Greek dishes too.

However that year I didn't have good mood as my mother admitted in the hospital and I had paid about HKD25,000 for the expenses and I could not postpone nor cancel it. Under this condition, I could not enjoyed it as much as I could.

I would love to go back to the beautiful islands one day.

Read the following news today to remind me about the island..........................

Something about My Mother

She was a tough woman.

She was the eldest of the four in the family, but the parents passed away when they were very young.

She was smart, though she received very little formal education.

She could learn fast and work efficiently.

She was fierce, and she always wanted to be the No. 1 in all fields.

She knew how to save money and how to use money wisely.

She was a good negotiator on pricing, people could not earn a good margin from her.

She was a hardworking person and she taught me to be a responsible person at work place.

Unfortunately, we could not communicate well when I grew up.

Something about My Father

He is a very kind person.

He knows how to enjoy life.

He is a man who seldom says no.

He is a man who likes to offer gifts to his friends - sometimes I am jealous too.

He likes to offer big tips in the restaurants/to the helpers.

He likes to iron all his clothes (not for me - I am lazy :( )

He doesn't know how to save money, but he spends wise money on his hobby ( I hope and guess so).

He is a man I ask him for 10 dollars, he would give me 20 dollars.

He always teaches me to have patience in all fields.

He is a man who knows what I like to buy in the wet market, then he buys for me; at the same time, I buy the same food from the market. Therefore, our refrigerator usually has plenty of food.

He never praises me, but sometimes he tells proudly to his friends about me.

French Song - Mon Ange

Mon Ange Lyrics

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJDhgkOcBaA&feature=related

A force d'y croire à te retrouver
Ma chance c'est que t'es là devant moi
Alors cette fois je veux rester
Ne plus croire que si j'aime
On va m'abandonner

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWJ6IQGrw_s&feature=related

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82PXTKSM2kQ&feature=related

Canola Oil

Received information from one of my friends, I am quite surprised of Canola Oil.

I use olive oil and canola oil for my cooking oil at home, I need to stop using Canola oil anymore !

http://hk.news.yahoo.com/article/100621/4/irlw.html

Direction to Hotel Venetian

After lunch, on my way back to office, in front of the fountain of "San Ma Lou", a pretty Japanese girl approached me with her Japanese magazine.

She pointed the name in English -Venetian, and she asked me how to go there by Taxi.

As she was on the opposition side, no taxi stopped.

I was thinking the taxi fare would cost a lot of money.

My mind immediately came up with several ways to go there, with an option of saving time and money -

Method 1 take bus No.3 - to the Terminal Exterior, cross the road with the subway, get the Venetian hotel shuttle bus- cost 3.2 patacas.

Method 2 - it could save a lot of traffic time - go to Pier Yuen Tung, get the Venetian hotel shuttle bus.

Method 3 - go to Hotel Sintra, take the shuttle bus of City of Dream - visit COD first, then Venetian.

The last method for her - as she mentioned taxi - cross the road, take the bus and let the driver bring them there.

If I had more time, I would encourage her to try my suggestions.

Remark ( 2010.6.30) - There is another easy way - take bus No. 26 in San Ma Lou.

Life of two fishermen

Long time go, K told me a story about fishermen.

One fisherman works very hard as he wants to earn as much as possible, then, he doesn't need to work any more and retire - to enjoy life, therefore, he works as a dog.

The other fisherman works at relax, he doesn't earn as much as the first fisherman, however, he is happy and he considers himself enjoying a lot of life - he loves being a lifetime fisherman and get closer to the beautiful nature every day.

One day, two of them meet and they conclude their present life.

It comes out that the first fisherman is very exhausted and he has lost a lot of wonderful things.

The story tells us that we should enjoy every moment at present, there is no need to wait for tomorrow.

The good and sweet moment can become good memories and last for a long time!!

Portuguese Song - Samba e amor

http://www.hitslyrics.com/b/bebelgilberto-lyrics-25741/sambaeamor-lyrics-1025197.html
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFFkc7LjdYQ&feature=related

E a fábrica começa a buzinar
O trânsito contorna a nossa cama, reclama
Do nosso eterno espreguiçar

No colo da bem-vinda companheira
No corpo do bendito violão
Eu faço samba e amor a noite inteira

Translation:
Samba And Love

I make samba and love till much later
And I am very sleepy when morning comes
I heard the burning rush of the city
That brings tomorrow faster

In the wee hours we still make love
And the factory whistles begin to blow
The traffic circles around our bed, complaining
Of our eternal stretching

On the lap of my welcomed friend
In the body of the blessed guitar
I make samba and love throughout the night
I have no one to explain myself to

I make samba and love until much later
And I have much more to do
I hear the burning rush of the city, screeching
Why is it so hard for dawn to arrive

I am not sure if lazy or a coward
Under my wool blanket
I make samba and love until much later
And I am very sleepy when morning comes

French song - LE SOUVENIR DE CE JOUR

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AeFYSJHbGU

Enlacés Dans Leur Chaleur
le Sable Sur Leur Main
livrés Au Vent Qui Se Meurt
ils Fusionnent Leur Destin
l'homme Qui Noyait Son Malheur
les Croise Sur Son Chemin
voit Dans Leurs Yeux La Lueur
et Le Sourire Qui Revient
je Ne Connais Pas La Suite
rien N'est Sur Mais Je Sais Qu'il Mérite
l'innocence D'être Sur

et Qu'importe, Ils Ont Pu....

{Refrain:}
toucher Un Jour
le Bonheur D'être Ensemble
goûter L'amour
oublier Un Instant
l'enfer Autour
le Souvenir De Ce Jour
vaut Plus Que Tout

l'aube A Grandi La Lumière
elle Se Réveille Enfin
leur Histoire N'est Plus Qu'un Rêve, Mais...
moi, Je M'en Souviens
elle Partage Sa Vie Nouvelle
avec Quelqu'un De Bien
même La Nuit Dans Son Sommeil
elle Cherche Encore Sa Main
je Ne Connais Pas La Suite
rien N'est Sur, Mais Je Sais Qu'il Existe
un Espoir Dans Le Doute

et Qu'importe, Ils Ont Pu....

{Au Refrain}

et Qu'importe, Ils Ont Pu....

toucher Un Jour
le Bonheur D'être Ensemble
goûter L'amour
oublier Un Instant

l'enfer Autour
le Souvenir De Ce Jour
vaut Plus Que Tout

{Au Refrain}

French Song - C'est De L'or

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Goe0eSqyL0&feature=related

La Tendresse
que Tu Mets Dans Ma Voix
tout Tes Gestes
sans Orages, Ni Combats

les Larmes
que Tu N'as Pas Fait Couler
tous Ces Drames
que Tu As Su M'éviter

{Refrain:}
c'est De L'or
que Tu Mets Dans Mon Corps
des Trésors
d'amour Qui Me Dévore
c'est Un Sort
que Tu Lances À Mon Corps
des Accords
d'ivresse Qui S'évaporent
oui, C'est De L'or

les Silences
que Tu As Su Désarmer
tout Tes Sens
qui M'apprennent À Aimer

et Ma Peau
que Toi Seul Sais Calmer
tout Tes Mots
qui Me Font Avancer

{Au Refrain}

c'est De L'or,
que Tu Mets Dans Mon Corps,
des Trésors D'amour
qui Me Dévorent...

Zazie - J'Envoie Valser LYRICS

Toi quand tu m'serres trs fort

Car quand on s'aime trs fort
C'est comme un trsor
Et a, et a vaut de l'or

Moi pour toujours j'envoie valser
Les preuves d'amour en or plaqu
Puisque tu m'serres trs fort
C'est l mon trsor
C'est toi, toi qui vaut de l'or

Salary for a waiter in Macau

At the begining of this year, there was a small eating shop for chinese dishes/shark's fins soup in Rua Alfandega, the competition was fierce, and it was closed only after three month's business.

These few days, the shop was in a small renovation, and the old shop name was changed to a new name.

Outside the shop, it was written that they were recruiting helpers in the kitchen as well as waiters/waitress.

It stated that the salary for the waiter was MOP7,500!!!

From this kind of eating shop, it seems that the chance of getting tips is very slim, still, it didn't mentioned number of working hours, holidays and any fringe benefits, but probably it may be the average salary for the waiters in Macau.

說英文的人也會犯類似的錯誤;被對調的可能是兩個字(例如把to bridge the gap說成to gap the bridge),但更多的是兩個字中的某個音節或音素,例如the conquering kings說成the kinkering congs, kissing and cuddling說成cussing and kiddling。兩字的起首輔音對調,尤為普遍,而且常會產生意想不到的詼諧效果,如pouring with rain變成roaring with pain, take a shower變成shake a tower!

有一次,他批評一個學生說:「You have hissed all my mystery lectures and tasted the whole worm.(你噓我的神秘課,嘗了整條蟲。)」其實他要說的是「You have missed all my History lectures and wasted the whole term」。

這名可愛的學者還有許多類似的說錯話的笑話,如:「Three cheers for our queer old dean(dear old queen)!」、「Is the bean dizzy(dean busy)?」、「The Lord is a shoving leopard(a loving shepherd)」。

例如他在2000年的一次講話說:「Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream.」(應是dreams take wing,夢想飛翔)。 在2001年一次關於自由貿易的講話裏,他說:「If the terriers and bariffs are torn down, this economy will grow.」把barriers and tariffs(壁壘和關稅)變成terriers(小狗)and bariffs(無此字)。

http://hk.news.yahoo.com/article/100622/4/isjb.html

問題是,在這個全球化時代,age of globalisation,不懂calculus,影響不會很大,但英文已是世界語言,the global language,英文不好,或不夠好,容易「執輸」——You'll lose out。

A five-character password, she thought. She instantly knew the odds: twenty-six to the fifth power; 11,881,376 possible choices. At one guess every second, it would take nineteen weeks.

What are the odds?(贏輸、成敗、真假)機會怎樣?

China's population is over 1.3 billion,

I snooped his e-mail。 To snoop into another's affairs,探人私隱、八卦人家事宜。

He tiptoed in, then out.

The mother tiptoed to the bedside of her sleeping baby.(媽媽悄悄走近她在睡的嬰兒。)

Don't be so desperate。

Please keep your hands to yourself。

Ha Sac Park Restaurant

Eventually, met T on Sunday afternoon, had tea in Sai Van On Kei Cafe.

Surprisingly, this cafe has become a non-smoking Cafe, so good.

Had some update with T, and he said that he wanted to meet F and M, thus, called them and we organised a dinner at 8 of the evening, in coloane.

At the beginning, I had hesitation as I didn't have plan on eating out and I needed to fix dinner for my father, and then, thinking sometimes it is difficult to find time for all the parties, then, decided to join the dinner.

Second time to eat in this restaurant, and with the special order to prepare for the food - low salt, low sugar and low oil, the food was pretty good - we had boiled bacahau, seafood rice, noodles, and the vegetables.

Four persons' dinner, reasonable price, and nice gathering.

Four of us didn't meet together over 10 years, perhaps, how many 10 years we have in future, thus, we need to meet sometimes.

Ups and Downs

Sometimes I feel that I am very down, wish someone to raise me up.

Today, sent an e-mail to R and asked for some information, thanks so much that she replied me immediately.

Appreciate a lot of her help, still, no matter what, I am the one myself to deal with all kinds of my own problems.

Korea Trip

Sunday morning, when I was enjoying my reading on my bed, about the time went out for shopping, M caught me, and she proposes a short trip together (either to Taiwan or Korea) in this September.

I like travelling, but I still have hesitation on this at this moment.

M, my father and I made a Korea trip long time ago, that was really a wonderful trip, especially to my father.

We sometimes say that we should find time and make another one ( I don't think my father can make it because of his health now).

My father always mentioned this trip to his friends, he was really satisfied of that trip.

It was long time ago, M wanted to go to Korea, and I told her I needed to take care of my father ( I remember that was the time my mother passed away not long, may be September 1998, I need to clarify).

She encouraged me to take him as well ( thanks for her suggestion and patience during the trip- to travel with elderly sometimes need to have more care - as if not that time, he missed that kind of wonderful travelling experience to Korea), as we joined the tour from the agency, we needed not to take care of the transportation nor meals arrangement.

It was a five days trip, we went to see mountains and I enjoyed the hot spring very much ( so far the best place I have visited for enjoying hot spring). Thought the autumn season was very obivous, chilly at night time and in the early morning, the weather was very nice, we could see beautiful trees and flowers.

It was a relaxing and relaxing trip, we had a lot of fun, we also went to the theme parks, and did shopping in the department stores and the shopping areas.

We did take nice pictures, and of course, ate the Korea cuisines.

I still remember it was the time to shop in the department store, a smart HK lady in the tour reminded that the ties (in famous brand name) over there were very super-value, she bought some for her husband.

I told her I had no boy-friend, and no need, but she said that it was worth to buy comparing with the prices in HK, even though for a nice birthday present - therefore, they chose two for me.

I kept the ties for long time to find out the users :)
