Shower

Seabury Dorm was an old building, and I remember one intereting thing in the toilet.

There was two toilets in the whole building - one in second floor, one in third fllor.

The toilets were big - there were three toilet seats on the right hand side, while the right hand side, three shower areas and one bath-tub.

Most of the time, people liked to take shower, it was quick and save the water, however, the old water system didn't function very well in that old times.

When someone finished the toilet, and flushed the water, it would get the whole water system with higher temperature, that meant if someone was taking shower at the same time, the sudden heat might hurt her body.

Therefore, it was a common practice that if we went to the toilet, and realised someone was showing, when we needed to flushed the toilet, we called loudy "shower" -then the one in the shower area might alert and stood aside to avoid the sudden heat.

Memorising this minor thing - it is really interesting, I don't know whether this practice still exists or not.
